چکیده
The is the fifth in a series of research reports from the first phase of the ALiCE II project. This report presents the background and technical details of the cellular wireless internet communication subsystem for the Autonomous Line Crawling Equipment (ALiCE II) robot. ALiCE II is a second generation version of a new family of autonomous line-crawling robotic devices using swarm intelligence system engineering design principles introduced during the past 3 years. Specifically, this report gives the details for the current design of the ALiCE II telecommunication system that includes an implementation using Telus Mobility as a service provider and includes a plan to compare Telus with a similar service offered by Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS). ALiCE II represents the combined efforts of Maciej Borkowski, Christopher Henry and Dan Lockery. The main architect of ALiCE II has been Dan Lockery. ALiCE I was a single line-crawling robot designed by Vitaliy Degetyarov in 1999 as part of his M.Sc. project, which was also funded by Manitoba Hydro. ALiCE II is the focus of Dan Lockery’s M.Sc. research project. This research work has been funded by Manitoba Hydro.

Robot Motion Vision Part II: Implementation
The idea of Fixation introduced a direct method for general recovery of shape and motion from images without using either feature correspondence or optical flow [1,2]. There are some parameters which have important effects on the performance of fixation method. However, the theory of fixation does not say anything about the autonomous and correct choice of those parameters. This paper presents ...

متن کاملAn Ant-Colony Optimization Clustering Model for Cellular Automata Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks
High efficient routing is an important issue for the design of wireless sensor network (WSN) protocols to meet the severe hardware and resource constraints. This paper presents an inclusive evolutionary reinforcement method. The proposed approach is a combination of Cellular Automata (CA) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) techniques in order to create collision-free trajectories for every agent...

Omni directional mobile robots have been popularly employed in several applications especially in soccer player robots considered in Robocup competitions. However, Omni directional navigation system, Omni-vision system and solenoid kicking mechanism in such mobile robots have not ever been combined. This situation brings the idea of a robot with no head direction into existence, a comprehensi...
